Reviwers

Brodie Gibbons

When Brodie, or MulletGuy, isn’t being quizzed whether he really has a mullet, he can often be found skulking around the XBW forums as well as writing his share of reviews for the site as a part of his debt to Shane for destroying his vineyard one wild and crazy summer. He’s not even near repaid as yet.

Brodie started gaming at the ripe age of three with old gems such as Doom and, of course, Wolfenstein 3D. Not much comes as a shock, having been desensitised at this early age. His console days came after the family Commodore 64 decided to give the ‘/flips bird’ function, and Father Christmas provided a Super Nintendo. Since then he’s been sure to whet his appetite in all pools of gaming, through all generations.

A self-proclaimed fan of the first-person shooter, Brodie can often be spotted online playing any of his noted favourites; from Bioshock to Half-Life 2. While some feel graphics are the keystone of gaming prowess, Brodie can’t look past a good story – perhaps his enjoyment of writing and literary techniques has played its part. Regardless Brodie sees a great story and characters as paramount to a memorable experience.

...Oh, and for those of a curious nature – no, he doesn’t actually have a mullet. I know, disappointing right?
