In a move of total bewilderment, EA Australia have announced that the first Rock Band game will finally be hitting stores on the 7th of November.
The problem is, this game was released in America almost a year ago and Rock Band 2 is now out in the land of the free. Alot of XBW'ers were thinking that EA would skip the release of the first game and just give us Rock Band 2.
With Guitar Hero World Tour releasing around the same time, it makes the most sense. To everyone except EA it seems...
We try and think the way that these companies do, but every time we try it we just give ourselves headaches...
Hopefully we get the full years worth of downloadable tracks alongside the launch and pray that EA don't decide to trickle it out week by week. The Aussies (like me) that imported the PAL edition from the U.K will hoping so anyway.
So come November 7th, you have a choice. Get the year old game, or wait for Rock Band 2 to eventually launch in the U.K and import the PAL one yet again... At least you'll be able to buy the drums here finally.
We contacted EA for an update of Rock Band 2's release status but didn't get a reply yet.
