No official Press Release or anything from EA, which you'd think they would do seeing as it involves a freebie, but the new mode for Battlefield Bad Company is now out and available to download from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The new Conquest mode is absolutley free, and weighs in at a nice lean 80mb.

Of course Conquest mode isn't really that 'new' for long time Battlefield fans, as it was the standard game mode in pretty much all of the past games, but it's a great addition to Bad Company.

By Capturing a number of flags around the 4 maps that work with Conquest mode, players aim to control the battlefield. Each side has a certain number of 'tickets' which are depleted the more that the other team control the flags at the capture points.

It's great fun and now that EA are turning off demo servers and switching them to the full game, it can only increase the amount of fun all of us BF fans are having.
