Xbox Back Pack

No matter how big an Xbox fan you are, there’s no denying it. The Xbox is one big heavy beasty. Compared to my trusty old Dreamcast and N64, the Xbox is huge. Sure, it’s the best console going around but carting it around can be a bit of a chore.
The Xbox back pack is made from extremely tough materials and features heaps of room for all your goodies. A nice tough rubber handle up the top makes carrying it around pretty easy, even when fully loaded. Even if it does get too heavy you can fling it onto your back pretty easily as well if you need your hands free for other things or if you have a long walk ahead of you. Another nice touch is some tough plastic feet so you can stand it upright safely.
The backpack opens right up and inside where your Xbox goes there is a separated area with Velcro fasteners so you can strap your Xbox in nice and tight. The great thing about this is that there’s a nice big padded section that goes over the top of your Xbox keeping it safe from anything else that you throw in. The front of the back pack has two main areas, on small one on the front that’s probably really only big enough for memory cards and your wallet, keys etc there’s also a larger pocket behind it with a couple of pen? holders, velcro straps for fastening more stuff in snugly and also a removable pouch that would come in handy for toiletries during those overnight lans.
I managed to get my Xbox, two controllers, video and power cables into the backpack as well as about 12 games in their cases but it would have been good to see a dedicated spot for game discs. There was room for my wallet, keys, mobile phone and I even managed to squeeze a spare pair of pants and a shirt in there as well. If you’re a light dresser heading to an overnight Xbox lan, this backpack should suit your needs nicely without the need for any extra luggage.
I don’t have XBL yet, but there would also be plenty of room for your XBL headset as well. The backpack is a quality unit made from ultra tough materials and I was surprised at how much stuff I could cram into it. The Velcro fasteners inside make it easy to organize your gear and keep it all in one piece. The only thing I couldn’t work out is what the elastic cords on the front are for.
Thoughts
If you don’t own a backpack at all and need an Xbox carry case this is definitely worth picking up. As mentioned it’s extremely tough and survived a recent interstate trip quite nicely. I’ve been throwing it around now for a while and have yet to see even one frayed cord or bit of it coming loose.
I would have liked it if it had been a bit deeper, if only so I could put more personal belongings in it as well but that’s a minor complaint. The Xbox backpack is a very high quality product and almost impossible to fault. Even though it sports a great big Xbox logo on the front, you could safely use this for just about anything!
