Judging from the entries to our current competition (the 4Gamers prize pack giveaway) most people are lugging their Xbox to their mate’s house in either a shopping bag, a suitcase or a tweety bird backpack. This must be pretty embarrassing so lucky 4Gamers have come to the rescue with a pretty nifty backpack.

Made from some pretty tough materials the 4Gamers carry case is laid out pretty similar to the ALS case we reviewed earlier this year. It has a nice thick shoulder strap, a nice big front flap that covers a storage spot on the front of the case. Underneath this front flap there is also another zippered storage area that has room for your power and video cables.

The front storage space would easily fit about 8 or more games in their cases so there’s a fair bit of room there but this particular carry case doesn’t have a storage spot on the back. This may seem like a bit of a oversight, but if you were to fill it with games, cables or controllers, they might get damaged if you dropped the case as these would all be on the outside of the case and probably the first thing to hit the pavement. As it stands it probably forces you to carry a bit less which isn’t really a bad thing as we always take games that we never end up playing when we lug our gear around to a mates place anyway.

We gave this carry case a good workout last weekend and it did a great job. We managed to get plenty of gear into it and even the mandatory packet of twisties and a bottle of V. It was pretty heavy once loaded up but the shoulder strap did the job pretty well, the small carry handle is too small though and It would be nice to see it made a bit bigger with a nice ergonomic rubber grip in it to reduce strain on the hands. Though every carry case we have reviewed so far has suffered from this..
