I don't really see the need to buy one of these as the ms headset plugs into my wireless controller anyway making it just about wireless already. If it has improved voice and volume over the official ms one then i may consider it.

So this wireless version isn't an official MS product? Anyone know who manufactures it???
Does look pretty sweet though - and would save unplugging when you need to go for a toilet break or grab a drink :D
cheers.
For me i can walk to my computer and back without carting my controller around with me. Means i can do what i want and also talk to people while waiting for the game to start or for people to rock up. Just like the whole wireless scene. Its meant to be a very good quality headset though. We shall see though...
This is the official MS wireless headset RF. He is refering to the Wired version

I read its 2.4GHZ or MHZ.. My portable phone is that as well. Will this mean they'll screw up together I wonder?

I wont buy one until I have money to waste, but I can definitely see why people would want one. Its annoying lugging the controller around just to hear/talk to people on the microphone. You often have to get up to grab a drink/snack/wateva.

So it's going to retail for $60 in the US? Got a feeling DVDC will adjust their price. :(
Well every other Aus retialer online has it listed for this price or similar so maybe not JB
EDIT: Xbox.com.au have it listed as $69.95 RRRP http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessheadset/

Noice! Definitely be getting one then!
If it has better quality audio than the current one I may pick one up at release. Otherwise I will probably wait until I get games I'm going to spend alot of time on the mic for (Late Oct/Nov). But it sure looks enticing, the wireless removes the ugly cord hanging down the front of you AND you dont have a useless, huge band going over the top of your head. Suave ftw!

I can't wait for these to appear downunder. That bloody cable from the headset to the controller really gives me the sh*ts.
