hi guys im currently thinking bout an xbox 360 to add to my list of game consoles, but i have a question,
can i run the xbox 360 through my pc monitor as i dont have a tv in my bedroom, just my pc,

yep you sure can, you just need a vga kit for it.

Yeah I do have a TV in my room but its a small little CRT, I was wondering if you could connect it to a monitor since I do have a 17" LCD for my PC. Looks like you can.

Does anyone know if you can have both things connected at once. Say for instance I am running my PC through the DVI cable and there's a VGA input open to which I connect my 360. Would that work without any cable swapping or is it an either/or situation?

yeah i have a monitor that has both DVI and VGA and I just switch the inputs like changing channels on a TV.

Ah yeah just had a look in the monitors menu and its got a selection thing for DVI or VGA. I'll have to look into that. Only thing is I'll have to connect my PC speakers up to get sound but probably worth it to get proper quality both in sound and picture.

Get or make a switch box for your PC speakers, so you can switch between your 360 and PC outputs.
