Just took the plunge and got a 360, all was good until I got it set-up and tried to turn her on. It gave me 3 quarters of the ring of light flashing at me in red, I didn't need to read the manual to tell it had a problem. I took a look at the power supply aka brick and the light was orange so I am assuming the console giving the error was caused by the power unit. EDIT nvm orange is stand-by, red is a defect.

So it looks like its back to Dick Smith.

was the AV plug plugged in completely?? I got some Red formation when I first loaded mine up because I didn't push the AV cord in completely.

EDIT:// sorry thats a full ring for AV not plugged in properly.

I am not sure what I just did but its working now, it could have been the cords but honestly who knows.

Mine does the same.... i have to constantly reset and try again.

It seems to do it most when its cold... if i play it for a while then turn it off, then back on while its still warm, it fires up fine.

Sometimes ive had to reset/turn back on up to TEN times until it works right.

I also get the 3 quarters of a red circle around the power button.

EDIT: Oh and all my cords are plugged in fine.
