Right, everyone here seems to be VERY knowledgeable on all things TV techie, but I am not. The entire breadth of my knowledge comes from this forum. Now I have some cash and want to be very, very careful what I spend it on as a Plasma I bought last year that was supposed to be 720p and it was not. Basically I was suckered.
Now I am buying this LCD TV just for 360 gaming and possibly the odd DVD, but mainly for the 360 and thats it. I'm looking at about 32", probably not anything smaller and don't want to spend over $2000.
I've already been recommended the Samsung 32" R71 series LCD which is apparently going for $1999 and have seen a few other options, but i wanted to get a whole bunch of suggestions in one place.
Thanks in advance for your replies!

I purchased the Acer 32" LCD TV and have been very happy with it. I paid $1500 Like you I did some research and read around many reviews. Here is a review of the Acer

The only thing i didnt like about the TV was the speakers but luckily they were full removable and now there taken off.
I highly recommend this LCD TV.
Im also located in Wanneroo Perth so if you wanted to come out and see it running a Xbox 360 then thats no problems.

I've got the same one as weshollett, the Acer 32" LCD.
I also would recommend this LCD. It has plenty of connections on the back S-Video, Component, Composite, VGA and DVI. no HDMI unfortunately, but no big deal really.
The speakers didn't bother me, but as wes has stated they are removable. It's is a very well priced LCD, and with 3yr onsite warranty it's pretty hard to overlook.
I did like the look of the Samsung at first, but it didn't seem to have as many connections as the Acer. With Acer also being in the industry of computers, monitors and LCD's I thought you couldn't go wrong really.

As I said in another thread, JB Hi Fi currently has a 32" Samsung for $1398. That is a huge bargain, you just cant get name brand LCD's for that price. And Samsung has a good reputation for use with 360's. If your looking to buy now, you wont find a better TV then that for the price.

Cool thanks for that. I will check out all those brands. I need to dedicate a day to getting out and having a look around at TV's, minus the missus.
She chose our last TV, the plasma, which I love like a puppy but its definitely not made for the 360. I've also noticed a few TV's, noticeably the Samsung, have a little 360 controller logo sticker on them in some shops like Retravision and Hardly Normal, I mean Harvey Norman, does that mean they DEFINITELY put out 720p and 1080i?

Hi guys, first post here!! I recently got my slef an xbox 360, and am looking at getting a new LCD tv as well, im in a similar situation where I have up to 2000 to spend on a nice screen. It will be primarily for the Xbox. I currently have a 68 cm CRT which is getting a bit old and was wondering if I do go a 32 inch, will the hight of the screen be smaller, its so hard to tell in a store with a wall full of them!! any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks for that, I'm shopping today so I'll check out both the ACER and the AWA, the Samsung sounds like a good option too.
I'm a Northern suburbs peep to (curse those south river freaks), I live in Brighton which my mates like to refer to as South Geraldton. Bastards.
