US XBox 360 info

Ok.... I need a bit of help here!!

I'm in Oz, and got given an XBox 360 as a present - problem is it was bought in Hawaii... So I have a power supply problem and I think I have a format problem (i.e PAL/NTSC). Am I correct in assuming I need to find either a stepdown transformer or a spare Oz XBox PSU? Am I also correct in assuming I need to get NTSC games, not PAL games? If so - any hints on where I can find these at a cheap price????

yes you need a stepdown converter.

Mauii recomended me one from Lik-Sang and it's great and a good price. If you search theses very forums you will find the direct link.

You need to but NTSC unless the game is region free then you should consider PAL for resale value but of course price is a factor.

NTSC games are always cheaper. NTSC games usually come out quicker, sometimes by a long way. There are more NTSC games and they are not likely to be as censored as some PAL games.

Thanks for the info.... looks like I've got a couple of PAL games to sell then, interested in Oblivion or World cup 2006?!? :)

I think Oblivion might have been region free. You should try and see if they work before selling them.

I would ring up Microsoft and ask them how much a replacement PSU is. If they ask, tell them your drunk sister threw it out of a 5th floor window.
