hitman 4 + lcd HELP!!!!

ok, so here the story, i just recieved hitman 4 today and put it in my xbox, it comes up with a msg saying "this game requires to be run in 60hz, u have 50hz" or something along those lines

heres the thing, i have the awa 81cm lcd, i have tried both component and vga, the tv is set to 60hz, and the xbox360 is set to 60hz

i have also tried hooking the xbox up to my pc moniter with vga, same deal

also, a couple of the demos ive downloaded off the market place do the same thing, manily top spin2 and the outfit

Hmm, that's weird.
So you switched the component to SDTV and it was set to 60Hz? What happens if you try to play the game in standard def?

So you've set it to 60hz in the dashboard? Try plugging in the composite cable, switch it to TV, then change it 50hz, and back 60hz. Then plug in the VGA cable.

ok, so i put the composite cables in and look at the settings and it was in pal-50

i changed it and it works in SD

just changed to compostie and it works now, cheers guys

Okay I've got the same problem, I've had the 360 outta the box for close to one hour now and spent some time drooling at DOA4. Then I put in my real game, Hitman Blood Money and I get the message same as Ryan.

But when I go to system > display, I can't switch it between 50hz and 60 hz. I've just got the choice of settings, 480, 720 and 1080, and Standard or Widescreen. I've got the composite cables plugged in and the switch set to HDTV.

Its a Samsung LCD, also barely an hour outta the box and still smelling like packing wrap, but it definitely displays at 60hz.

Okay don't worry I worked it out on my own, re-read the posts in this thread and clicked that I could only switch to 60hz after turning the 360 of SD TV. All good now. :spin:
