Hi everyone, got a third party VGA cable from Play-Asia a few weeks ago and can't get any sound to come through my stereo or the TV. Anyone with ideas on how to fix this little problem please help. Cheers.

You most likely need a A/V to 3.5mm adapter.:)

I had the same problem when i got my VGA cable.

with my sony bravia i switched it to VGA source and there was no sound.. the tv doesnt seem to have sound inputs to use with VGA.

for example the component 1 inputs at the back have sound inputs with them and so do the rest.

but VGA only has VGA..

Do what Darksheer said, I had to do the same.

like what Darksheer said, and muffinman agreed, the vga audio input is a 3.5mm headphone jack so you need a convertor to take the red/white cables to 3.5mm

the one in this pic came with the logitech speakers im using for sound instead of the speakers the tele has.
