Hey dudes and to a lesser extent dudettes, and duders if there should be any present.

The Sanyo 68cm is on sale in Target at $1399 which apparently is 300 of. For $3 less you can get the 81cm AWA LCD tv so I was wondering if anyone had any experience of the Sanyo?

As far as I can see the only major difference between the two (other than the AWA being, ya know, bigger) is that the Sanyo is HDMI equipped. Its other specs are:

Progressive scan
900:1 contrast ratio
HDTV ready
1280x720 res
16ms response time

I'm very much in the market for an LCD and am basing my decisions on what I've read on these boards (god help me, lol). Any and all advice appreciated.

I had a look at the link pferris but nobody seemed to say anything about the Sanyo unless I missed something.

If you want to play the games on it you'll need a faster refresh rate than 16ms.

Right, scratch that one of the list.

What refresh rate should I be looking for?

Spend $1999 and buy a Samsung 32" R71 series LCD. 8ms response and "gaming mode" which reduces lag that plagues alot of other tv's. Its got everything, HD tuner inbuilt, heaps of inputs including HDMI and has optical audio out for hookup to a surround sound. If your not willing to spend this much i'd suggest getting a widescreen CRT for around $1000.
