Hi Guys,
I've just got a new 4Gb USB drive and the Xbox 360 doesn't seem to be recoginsing it, even though the lights on the drive come on when it boots up.
Any thoughts/recommendations?

You'll only be able to stream music and photos from an external drive.

I stream photos from my usb drives all the time
Is it possible to copy music from your media device (mine being my psp) to the HDD

I dont believe so Bazz, i couldnt copy anything from my ipod, but streaming wasnt a problem.
Yer, i wanted to put all my music on the HDD to save me from having to plug my psp in all the time and then having to charge my psp cos USB mode drains the battery faster than normal

The 360 can only rip an audio CD so DVD's or data disks wont work.
The best methods is either stream over a network or an external hard drive/device. You could plug you PSP into it's charger to keep it charged.
I do that but think of the power i could save by having it on my box and also no cables running all over the place

Yea it would be good if you could transfer files over like that. Maybe in a future dashboard update they might let us do it.
I'm getting an old power mac that I'm going to set up as a music server. I'll plug the 360 in via ethernet and have my entire music collection availble while playing games. All at full CD quality.
