i have a geforce fx 5200 video card with tv out and a set top box with a 19" widescreen monitor....is it possible to hook up my monitor to my video card through my set top box and recieve tv??? and if so is it just conecting an s-video to my video card then to set top box when fully connected....??

to receive TV into a pc, you'll need a capture card mate :)

If you want to do it properly, get a digital TV card. You can record HD too but you PC would have to be to handle HD playback, otherwise you can just record the SD channels.

There's also dual tuner versions.

yeah its a little outta my budget but can i use my spare set top box through the card i quoted before??

just got my tuner set up.....i must admit it looks really good through my set top box and records very clear..... it cost me $43 and was definatly money well spent
