Where has the Sticky HD TV thread gone?
I wanted to consult it today to see if the tv I was looking at was on it.
I was looking at this TV and wanted to know if anyone had one and if it was suitable for the 360 as an HD TV. It was in the Betta Electrical catalogue this month for $1800, a Samsung LCD about 68cm. I'll edit this post when i get home from :banghead: (work) with the exact details but it looks like the one they use for the 360 diplays in shops.
Or could someone advise a good sized TV for under 2 grand with a native resolution of over 720p (is that right, thats what it needs to be for HD right?)

Retravision have a Hitachi 32" with HDMI, 1366 x 768 res, 800:1 contrast and 8ms for $1998.
TCL 32" 1080i/720p HD Ready, 1366 x 768 Resolution, HDMI Input, 8ms for $1599 (I got this TV yesterday and the picture is beautiful). I'm changing over the STB I got with it to the Philips so I'm only running it directly from the aerial. I earlier had it hooked up to Channel 7 HDTV through the STB via a Monster HDMI Cable and the picture was better than DVD quality. No complaints from me on this TV.
NEC 32" HDMI, Resolution 1366 x 768, 8ms, Component DVD Input $1799.
Harvey Norman have a 32" Samsung, 10ms, HDMI for $1779.
Most of the 32" LCD's are between $1700 and $2200. Why settle for a smaller 27" when you get bigger for less?

personally i have to go with 26/27 because the cabinet the tv sits in is only just big enough for a 68cm CRT TV

Kewl thanks for the recommendation Skooby the Samsung one I was looking at was the 26 Inch LA26R71BDX but if I could get a 32" for the same or even less? Well happy day.
I've currently got this huge ass 100 something cm Plasma but its only 480p and I can't take the stigmata of living in my 720p deificient house. Every day I wake up with my pillow soaked with tears.
I've printed of your list to go to the wife with. I was thinking of hitting her for the LG 5.1 Surround Sound system as well. But I'm running out of trades, I've already promised backrubs from now till infinity and have sworn not to sleep with anyone else if she dies first! (course if I go first I can make it with hot angels YEAH! :devilgrin )
