I mean Holy Shit!

I knew about all the praise this demo was receiving over the past few
weeks but I figured I'd wait to play it myself before getting excited.
I mean we all know how True Crime ended up, right? But my OXM finally
arrived last night and if this demo is just a fraction of what I should
expect out of the finished game, then I'm gonna go pre-order it
tonight.

Imagine GTA3 with all it's flaws fixed. No more clunky controls, no
more twitchy camera, no more horrible-controlling vehicles, no more
messy aiming. Cram all of that into a game and then throw in the Havoc
physics engine and you have Saint's Row. It's amazing, it truly is
amazing.

The best part is this is going to encourage Rockstar to make GTA4 even
that much better.

so far this game is fantastic. it's actually fun, and a beautiful game! this
is definitely on my list now

I wasn't expecting this. GREAT DEMO!!!!! Everyone has to try this one
(except those under 17!) ;-) I laughed my ass off!!!

Only thing I didn't like was the manual aiming. I was getting peppered for a
bit till I got used to it. I was they would at least give us the option to
turn off the auto aim.
Other then that it's the best gta rip off i've played. I liked the mapping
a waypoint to where you go so that I don't keep getting lost.

This is no trailer, it's an actual playble demo. You start by
customizing your character from scratch. You make him look like
however you want....white/black/asian/hispanic. Fat or thin. Bald or
mohawk.

After that you jump into the missions, or if you'd rather drive/walk
around the city and create havoc you can do so. It plays like GTA3 on
steriods.

If that is true then this game has to be played. But Shane said something about the aiming being off a little.

I hope it is more than just a GTA clone, though.

Demo is supposedly going to be on the Marketplace on the 1st of August.
I've also heard some bad things about glitches, popup, etc(could just be cause it's a demo though).

Me too. On the marketplace there is a big banner that says DEMO. I tried clicking on it, but it took me to an error blade.

From reading the post and the fact the person said that people under 17 won't be able to play the game, sounds like the demo is in the US version of OXM. That means the demo might not be in the AOXM yet. Sounds promising though, just gotta wait for EB to call me up to tell me my demo disc is available for pick up. I don't think I can be bothered downloading around 1gb just for a demo so thankfully I can get it on disc

Just going on previous demo amounts on the MP which are anywhere from 500mb to just over 1gb

The download link for the demo has a appeared in the game demo banner area on Xbox Live....however its comming up with an error when I try to download it.

Saints row demo isnt in the august issue of oax360m, and in the back for preview of next month (September issue, realeased 9th august) it has no mention of saints row on the disc.

So if your going to wait for the mag to have it you'll be waiting till at least mid september.

Good i'l download the demo at 5am and play it when i get home from work,though going by all the hype it's a defiant buy anyway.
