Gears Of War Viral Campaign?

Looks like MS are up to their old tricks again ;)

Wednesday (7/26) at 4:41 PM, Gears of War official forums member El Hatton made a thread titled "Anyone Else Get A Gears-Releated XBL Message?"
In this thread he claimed to have received an Xbox Live message from 'MFenix' (Marcus Fenix is the name of the main character of Gears of War) he had no gamerscore, was in the underground zone, and his motto was 'Locusts Suck!' the message stated:

We need your help.Can't talk now. Don't know who to trust. Will send more tommorow.

yeah they have been spamming XBL users. its not MS who are doing it. its Epic. last i heard MS were pretty pissed about it and were encouraging people to report it.

The last Xbox 360 viral campaign was lame as, though the mini game where you had to keep the 360 logos above the line was fun for awhile.

I wish they would just have a press conference (if it's deemed important enough) or release whatever media they want to show off without the BS.
