Just a headsup, but at Games Wizards I saw that they had a little warning on the table stating that if you attempted to play the Halo 2 map pack online before July 7th (I think), you will get banned from Xbox Live. they came in alright condition i thought it could of been better but atleast they had no hard scratches just the light ones u get from being stupid and not sticking it back in the case. and the manuals were abit bent at the side. i dunno wat people do with there games to get all these things after it only being out for a few months. but compared to shops like eb that give you pieces of shit compared to them.

Aceben on george st Haymarket are selling secondhand game's 2 for $35.It's near my work so i usally pop in once a week to see what's on offer.Mostly old game's but occasionally you find a gem among the pebble's.Like today for instance,i thought i would have a look,but i was not so confident of finding a bargain, since i was just in there last week and picked up NFS:UG2.So i thought i could'nt be that lucky 2 week's in a row.
To my surprise i picked up Jade Empire:LE :D in very good condition ,not a scratch on the disc's.Made my day,i did want this game but not enough to hand over $80 for it.I have just spent $400 on game's the past three 'month's although i probaly recouped nearly half that in trade's.My next game purchase will be The Godfarther,and that will probaly be it for this generation.

Yeah mate I agree. That’s why I said some are good while others are not so. I thought Conker was a good buy, considering I rarely see it anywhere. Personally I think all of those games should be below $50, but the truth is most "retailers" still sell them for much more. As for DVDCrave, postage fees and the time it takes for the game(s) to arrive kind of takes the edge of it. For a retail outlet in the metropolitan area, GamesRush have some fairly good pricing. Personally this isn’t their best sale, there last one was very impressive, especially with their GC stock.

DVDCrave are still great imo. :D

I can confirm that this is true for Domayne in Caringbah, 50% off all Xbox and PS2 games... I picked up NFS:MW Black ed for the PS2 for $55, among others. I overheard a man asking the clerk if the discount stated in the catalogue is applicable to all ps2 and xbox games, the clerk said yes, it's 50% off the sticker price (some of which were already discounted). I even asked him again to confirm. They also had signs posted saying 50% off xbox and ps2 games, psp games excepted.

They came on seperate discs, in seperate cases, instructions etc but were placed in cardboard as well. Get the UK copies which are uncut and should be very cheap on ebay :D

As he said you will be able to get GRAW for $58 :) Saints Row can be obatained for about $60 on eBay I believe. DOA4 your best bet would probably be dvdcrave at $61 unless someone else has seen it elsewhere cheaper? :)

They also have a few titles i'm interested in such as Ghost Recon: AW - for $49. I looked at this title as well as Rainbow 6: Vegas last week (nearly got GR:AW for $90) - if i see it at Myer tomorrow i will purchase it. But most Myer stores i live near have stuff all games (i tried getting Call of Duty 2 there for $29 a few weeks ago, but they had none).

K-Mart & Target have a few games that were $120 - down to $59.95, but these are games that many other stores have already been selling at the reduced price for some time (eg: NFS: Mw, Fight Night Round 3. Target are also having 20% off all console accessories, i intend on picking up at least one spare rechargeable battery for the wireless remote control :).

I am going to keep a close eye on JB Hifi and EB tomorrow, JB have had great specials on their games in the leadup to christmas, i hope it continues in the after christmas sales madness. Top Spin is terrible. Virtual Tennis is way better. Even on the old Dreamcast i think its better than Top Spin 2 on the 360.

I paid $25 for it @ BigW and took it to ebay. I purchased it to keep but it was terrible.

The 360 version of Football Manager 2007 had a $59.95 sticker at my local EB (Chatswood). So did the 2006 version as well so it seems like a mistake but if anyones keen on the game they might wanna check out their local EB...

I saw Virtua Tennis 3 at the arcades and it looked exactly the same as Virtua Tennis 2 gameplay-wise. What did you hate so much about Top Spin Baf?

My only gripe with Top Spin 2 is with the risk shots (RT + any button) - the power bar cycles too quickly, making it harder to utilise (yes i know that is why it is called a risk shot) - but i think they amped up the difficulty to pull it off, too much compared to Top Spin 1.

Another gripe - how mismatched online games can be, i know you can get your close games but also games that are complete blowouts. This is a gripe, due to my own idiocy. I had a cracker of a game yesterday where i went to a tiebreak in the 1st game against someone who beat me 3-0 in both sets the last time we played. However i fell of the wagon, in the 2nd set due to sweaty hands.

Havn't played VT3, but i liked VT2, it was a bit arcadey... but it made it easy to pickup and play rather quickly.

Well I love Top Spin 2 I got it for $25 at Big W and if I hadnt posted about that sale on here none of you would have got top spin or amped for that price lol.

Its a great game and very good graphics but the load times are quite bad..not unbearable but can be annoying. Online theres heaps of games going not much lag but most the people are French or foreign..But yeah great game and for $35 a must have.

NBA2K6 is still not cheap enuf for me :P. I only really want it for the points.

I just didnt like the whole feel of the game. I hated the way the special shots worked.

I dont mind tennis games, this one just wasnt for me.

Aaaand back on topic ;) Dick Smith has a few Xbox games going out VERY cheap - I picked up Forza Motorsport and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow (both brand new and sealed) for a measly $10 each. I love owning an "obsolete" console when I'm living in the only country where the original Xbox has been so quickly declared "obsolete" :-)

Regarding the game guides, the guy said "our store isn't a big seller when it comes to guides so we need to get rid of them some way" so i guess its just Chatswood.

Prolly the same for the games, as they weren't advertised in the catalogue...just marked down to clear. They had a table with display cases of those 360 games above and older gen games bunched together with fat "clearance" stickers on them. But the guy got sealed copies from the store room so again they must be overloaded with all these older games.

I didn't ask about why the HDD and mem units were so cheap tho. Best to call up your local TRU and see whats going on there.

I decided to go check out my local toys r us (pacific fair) and see if they had the same deals. They do. They have at least 30 copies of quake, about the same of burn out revenge. 10 - 15 or so of Full Auto and King Kong. A few of condemned, ridge racer and something else i can't remember. Official wired controllers, mad catz controllers, memory cards all 20 bucks too and hard drive for 80. She said there were plenty of them out the back. They are also giving away the guides as well you just have to ask. Thanks for the tip Hinduguru.
